ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40 40W Bi-Color Portable LED Light Panel
I spent the last two weeks testing the ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40, and it has fundamentally changed how I approach run-and-gun production. This 40W LED light panel manages to pack an incredible amount of output into a frame that genuinely fits inside a jacket pocket.
Performance & Build Quality
The build quality feels robust despite its lightweight 320g design, with a sophisticated cooling system that handles the 40W output without breaking a sweat. Its internal DynaVort Cooling System uses advanced fans and heat sink modeling to ensure the device stays cool during extended use, preventing the thermal throttling common in smaller lights.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using the M40 is incredibly intuitive thanks to the dual-wheel interface that allows for quick adjustments to brightness and color temperature. I found the PD fast charging to be a lifesaver, as it allows for minimal downtime when you are moving between locations.
This light is perfect for solo content creators, vloggers, and photographers who need reliable, high-intensity lighting that can be deployed instantly in any environment.
Final Thoughts
The ZHIYUN FIVERAY M40 earns its 4.91/5 rating by delivering consistent, professional light in a form factor that never gets in the way. For $199, it is an essential investment for anyone looking to step up their lighting game without sacrificing portability.
